The 'You've Been Blogged' section of the Leicester Mercury's Technology page is soon to be no more. I am greatly saddened by this, it is like losing a dear friend and will leave a gaping hole inside of me.

I have therefore been hugely moved by the fact that column chose to bid me a personal farewell in what could be its final outing:
