Fame

I have not left the house in days for fear of being recognized and mobbed by paperazti and fans wanting autographs. My food has run out, I am living only off the moisture I can suck from the feet of my cats as they walk in from outside. Fame is a gift wrapped turd and it has hit me square in the face, I have been published in the technology section of the Leicester Mercury:

Leicester Mercury Article

Is this the highest level of fame that can be achieved through the medium of local newspaper? Perhaps not, I could have been published on the letters page or have had a photo of myself printed as an example of a hooded yob, but whatever, I have found fame and that means I am the best.

"How does it feel?"

I saw Bob Dylan last night and it was fantastic. "How fantastic?", you ask. I'll tell you how fantastic - very. It was the best concert I have ever been to, better than any other concert I have been to, therefore making it the best. According to this guy, who is clearly a seasoned Dylan concert goer, it is the best one Dylan concert he has ever been to as well.

The set list was unbelievably good. I had got myself quite excited by the quality of the setlists of some of the other UK dates, like Nottingham and Manchester, but I couldn't of hoped for better than what we got:

1. Maggie's Farm
2. Tell Me That It Isn't True
3. Watching The River Flow
4. Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues
5. Ballad Of A Thin Man
6. Highway 61 Revisited
7. Mr. Tambourine Man
8. Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again
9. Chimes Of Freedom (acoustic)
10. 'Til I Fell In Love With You
11. Visions Of Johanna (acoustic)
12. Honest With Me
13. The Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll (acoustic)
14. Summer Days

(encore)
15. Like A Rolling Stone
16. All Along The Watchtower

To add to the Bob Dylan related joy I am currently experiencing, a couple of days ago I found two little video clips (both great) of him through expectingrain.com. They have been uploaded onto the new google video search, which looks quite interesting, and can be found here and here. The latter, of Dylan and Lennon stoned in the back of a taxi, is particularly good.

Whistle Blower

My brother has never run a marathon dressed as a world leader.

In other, completly unrelated news, look at this website, Final Whistle, it is about the computer game Football Manager and is quite good, if you like that game - which I don't but I am sure many people do and if they do then they should look at this site because it's good for people that like that game.
